Olivier Mbera is an environmental engineer by profession with ten years of experience in the recycling industry. He is currently working for a leading e-waste recycling company in East Africa which operates the only state-of-the-art e-waste dismantling and recycling facility in Rwanda.
Mbera has worked for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as national expert and participated in numerous projects. He has led the development of Rwanda’s e-waste management project as well as worked as a national expert in resource efficiency, cleaner production, sustainable consumption and the Lake Victoria Environment Management Program II. He has an MSc. Degree with honours from the China University of Geosciences.
