Israel Olagunju is a value-driven waste advocate and currently manages an electronic waste recycling company. He is interested in the responsible management of plastic waste and plans to build a facility that can find new uses for all materials recovered from electronic waste. He played an instrumental role in the E-waste Compensation as an international financing mechanism in Nigeria (ECoN) project, a Prevent Waste Alliance pilot. The project focused on flat panel displays and lithium-ion batteries.
Olagunju is an accomplished creative artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology Akure and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Lagos.
